Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - 4 Handset System (KX-TG9334T)Customer Review: Fatal Flaw: No message alert beep Summary: 2 StarsThis seems like the perfect system, but at least in our household, it has one fatal flaw. There is NO audio tone alert when there are recorded messages. Just a flashing light.
As nearly as I can tell, every other DECT phone system from other manufactures has an audible alert - but not Panasonic. They have talking Caller ID, talking this, talking that, but no alert. WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING? I really don't get it. Maybe we are all incompetent, but unless the answering machine is beeping at us, we miss getting our messages in a timely fashion.
We got this phone because of all the other features, but returned it because of its silence. So if a beeping message alert is important to you, look elsewhere.
Customer Review: Panasonic now made in china Summary: 3 StarsYou can now tell that the Panasonic phones are now made in China. They feel like cheap plastic as opposed as to how they use to make their phones.I have been buying Panasonic phones for quite awhile and was impressed as to how they have held up. They used to be able to take a beating and they felt tough.
This model is working ok now so we will see if they have changed the electronics like they obviously changed the cases.
BTW I bought this to use with the OOMA phone system. OOMA needs a "Scout" for each phone connected to the phone line so using this phone system I only needed one of these spendy Scouts. If you haven't checked out OOMA yet you should not wait. NO LANDLINE PHONE BILLS is awesome.
Customer Review: Great purchase! Summary: 5 StarsWonderful product! We had two phone lines in our home at one time. Had renovation work done and cut what we thought was the old second line. In fact, both lines ran through one wire and half of our house was without phones. Purchased these Panasonic phones and problem solved without having expensive phone company or electrician out to fix. Love the phones. Small, but fit well in my hand and easy to use.
Customer Review: horrible... barely works after two months Summary: 1 StarsI've seen that others have had the same issue, but I wanted to add this review to make sure the other negative reviews don't get lost in the noise.
After a month or two we started having the following problem with all the handsets: often (50% of the time) when we switch to speakerphone, or at other random times when in normal mode, the phone will go dead for a second and drop the call. It'll come back to life, but will be unable to connect to the base until we wait a few minutes, or we return it to the charger.
We called Panasonic and their only suggestion was that we get new batteries. But this sounds like a defective design that you should avoid at all costs.
Customer Review: Very good Summary: 4 StarsLightweight, nice look. They are perfect for my 2 story house. I really like the talking caller id. I've also brought them with me outside when shoveling my long driveway and they worked fine. I really like them and think the price is very reasonable for 4 phones of this quality.
