This phone is no good. The phone would ring, we would pick it up, and the phone's screen would say something like "Re-establish Link to Base." The problem was, we were about 8 feet from the base. One of the manufacturer's recommendations was that we move the base away from other electronic devices. It's true that it was in an area with several other electronic devices, but look at the first line of the item description. A major selling point of this phone is that it operates in the 1.9 Ghz range and will not conflict with other devices.
I don't know if that would have fixed the problem or not because I didn't even try. Somehow this item has 4 stars on amazon, but if you read the reviews, a signifcant portion of people have this problem or a similar one. Take your chances if you like. We replaced this phone with the Panasonic KG-TG1032S and it works great. So I'm not against Panasonic - just this product.

What more could you ask for! When a friend's toddler accidentally threw my old phone in the garbage (brand X), I searched the web & found a phone with all of the features and the MAX quality to boot! My previous cordless phone was a Panasonic that I loved. If my cat hadn't knocked it in the dog's water dish I probably would not have purchased a new phone. Everything worked as advertised and without any problems. Add or change your entry on one phone and every phone is updated.. Love that feature. I purchased the two phone setup and added a third phone. Very easy to activate. Adding my cell phone to this system would have made it the pefect sydtem.. This is a great phone. I checked around before I decided to purchase this phone. It's a Panasonic, has good range, and it has all the features I wanted in a phone. I like the size and color. The answering machine is very easy to work. The remote access feature was very important in my decision to purchase this phone. It works great and its easy to use. The speaker works well and the voice answering system is ok except sometime you can't understand what's being said but thats not that important because you can see it on the screen if you have caller id, which I do. When you receive a call and the phone is on the base you are connected to the call when you remove it. I would like to be able to check and see who's calling before answering. However, when the phone is not on the base you have to push talk before the call is connected which I like. It would be nice to be able to have a feature that you could set on or off if you wanted to see who the caller is before answering when the phone is on the base unit. Its not that big of a deal just a preference that would be nice. All in all the phone is great. So far I am very pleased with my phone and I'm glad I picked this one.
