Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Panasonic RF-P50 Pocket AM/FM Radio, SilverCustomer Review: Best lil radio on earth. needs a belt clip. That's all I'm adding to it. Summary: 5 Stars
This radio is awesome. AA means ease of using rechargable batteries. So once you get something to recharge you AA batteries you don't have any more operating cost. That is the beauty of this technology. I love it.
The only thing I will add is a belt clip. It's going to be a custom job using an old pocket clip from a broken pocket knife I have laying around.
I'd like to carry it every day. Only weighs 5 oz.
I'm going to backpack with it because I can charge AA bateries in my solar charger... and did I mention it only weighs 5 oz, has great battery life and provides hours of free entertainment.
tuning is snappy and the light lets you know immediately when you have a lock.
Get it you will like it.
The speaker makes it better than an mp3 player because you can still hear what else is going on around you. It has a headphone jack if you still think you need it.
the lanyard can be used to hang the radio on a tree limb and is the right lenth. Just wrap the lanyard around the limb, belt, or something and slide the radio through the hole to hang it up without tying a knot.
I have an mp3 player but it is hard to charge in the woods and it cost $300 and the warenty is expired. I don't know what I'd do if I lost it. The Mp3 player doesn't have a speaker either and weighs too much as it is a big 120 GB zune. I like the mp3 but not being able to get a good charge on my solar charger led me to getting this.
The speaker in the unit is awesome. Very punchy bass simulation. like tapping a pringle chip top. nice! :) For what it is it is impressive. And you can't beat it for the price.
