These do sound a little thin, but everything is there: bottom end, bass, mids and treble. The instrument separation is amazing for ear buds, everything is very clear. The tone is more natural than most buds I've heard in the price range (ex: not as good as Audio Technicas but better than Sennheisers) Bottom line: if you find them for under $20 get them. If they are more, you may be a little disappointed.
