These have served me well for over a year and a half with no failures. I have probably broken more headphones than anyone because I have a large head and headphones with plastic head band components break for me frequently. I've broken cheap headsets and Bose headsets... The Panasonic head band with it's spring steel construction has never failed me, even when I fall asleep with them on and roll over on them. The plug connector has been faulted in other reviews; however, I use them with a coiled extension and have never had any trouble since the extension relieves the stress on the plug. They're nowhere as comfortable as my Bose's, but sometimes just being there and ready counts for more.
